Stunningly beautiful photography through the electron microscope of Swiss scientist Martin Oeggerli, who calls his site Micronaut.
Martin’s idea took 10 years to perfect on a £250,000 microscope. He said his work is a mixture of science and art, aims to “show a hidden but unimaginably beautiful realm of our planet”.
Images come out in shades of grey, so Martin colours the pictures himself on a computer.
“To take 10 images of one item takes two days – it makes these pictures unique”
