Brandt’s pictures of African wildlife are daring: he does not use a telephoto lens, but rather ventures up close to these untamed and dangerous animals. His photos are not purely documentary. Brandt wishes to translate the features of the animals, as well as their spirits, into the photograph.

Joana Gaio is an award winning portuguese creative, who studied photography in Arvore and cinema at Escola Superior Artistica in Porto, while directing several movies such as Orange or The ambulance. Together with Caroline Maia, a brazilian designer widely published that sharpened her skills by studying fine arts, they decided to partner and focus their artistic synergies on a projects that re-evaluates the concept of an object.
