Wild Animals in Urban Places by Mikel Uribetxeberria

January 10, 2011 by Bogdan Florin in Fine Art, Fine Art, Nature, Nature

Award winning Photographer MIKEL URIBETXEBERRIA living and working in Azkoitia (Basque Country). He creates inspiring photos with people, animal combining. In this series called "Animalia" you will find a combination of wild animals into urban places.

Animalia project is created mixing pictures of animals I found in internet with photography of places I have taken. Thanks to those photographers collaborating with me on Animalia project. The pictures are:

  • Gorilla picture by Ricky Stern
  • Elephant picture by Konrad Glogowski
  • Rhino picture by Amy Furlong
  • Armadillo picture by Alan Krakauer
  • Coyote picture by Keith Jeffers
  • Elk picture by Dr. Len Radin
  • Kangaroo picture by Anne Tuck
  • Zebra picture by Mark de Kock

The locations are sort of banal and sterile, while the animals don’t appear unnerved; they’re almost pensively bored more than anything else. It’s the apparent, unapologetic normalcy of such an incredibly abnormal situation that makes these shots so interesting.
