Scientific Fine Art Photography by Martin Oeggerli

February 21, 2011 by Bogdan Florin in Fine Art, Fine Art

Stunningly beautiful photography through the electron microscope of Swiss scientist Martin Oeggerli, who calls his site Micronaut.

Martin's idea took 10 years to perfect on a £250,000 microscope. He said his work is a mixture of science and art, aims to “show a hidden but unimaginably beautiful realm of our planet”.

Images come out in shades of grey, so Martin colours the pictures himself on a computer.

“To take 10 images of one item takes two days – it makes these pictures unique”
