Amphibians, Reptiles and Lizards - Herpetology Photography by Filipe Caetano

Filipe Caetano is a Portuguese photographer born in 1979 based in Portalegre. The biggest passion of the photographer are nature related subjects. At 15 he begins using a small film camera and realize that this allows, gradually, to collect various snapshots of the issues he finds. In an attempt to get more reliable results he acquires a compact digital camera, which allows a decrease in spending considerable in revelation of photos, and it opens the door to experimentation.

Having acquired some background knowledge in photography, in 2005 makes the leap into the world of DSLR, buying a NIKON D70 which becomes the tool of his work. Currently his works are publishes on-line journals and national and international papers. The artist maintains the philosophy of nature collector of snapshots until the present day.
