Tell us about something about Ebru Sidar Photography?
Seeing the world in the the eyes of Ebru Sidar Photography. We can say Ebru Sidar's little stories. There is a path running from outside to inside; starting from eyes, going into the heart. I have stories to tell which people can read as they look at my photos.
How did you get into Photography?
I was born in 13th january 1975. I have a personality who loves life much, cheerful, curious and fanciful. I’m an ambitious person and to reach my dreams I do whatever comes from my hand. In the year 2005, one of my friend sent me a link of a photography site in case I look at the photos, while I was watching the photos I got excited and I, immediately, became a member of the site and load a photo of my friend which I have taken by a webcam. After I had the critics, I wanted to be better and I worked harder. My that effort is still going on.
How do you keep yourself motivated and your photography creative, inspiring and fresh?
I believe that everything that I look at has a story. I look at many photographs, read a lot of books and watch a lot of movies. I believe that they improve my imagination.
How has your shooting style and work ethic changed in time?
There are a lot of photography clubs and art galleries but, I can’t say that photography is popular in my country. I don’t have any connections with a club nor I had the education about photography. Neither I want to go, because I’m afraid of my point of view would change and become stereotyped. I have questioned a lot, the only thing is good for my development is to watch and take many photos.
As you improve, you start to have many experiences. Sometimes you oppress your excitement with journeys between different categories. Sometimes a new lens, a new technique, a new series keep this journey alive.
What are some tips you could give to people that really like your work?
I don’t want people to look at my photos just thinking that they are beautiful. I’m not just taking the photos of an empty beauty. My aim is to touch the souls not only the eyes. If you will look carefully, you will understand that every photo has a different story, or at least for me. I believe that they are the language of nature. I’m just trying to understand and learn this language. In fact, there’s a talking silence in my photographs.
There are photographers that inspires you with their works or it's something else?
The images and not the names for the photographers inspire me. I'm aiming to reach those pictures, and not only. There are many things inspire me, such as photographs, songs, movies, sentences..
